Ein neues Oberteil/ a new shirt

Die Zeit vergeht wie im Fluge. Nun ist es schon November.

Heute habe ich eine Liv mit U-Boot Ausschnitt von Pattydoo für euch. Ein Schnitt den ich recht wenig genäht habe bisher, warum auch immer, denn er ist super bequem und darüber hinaus auch recht schnell genäht.

Wow, time flies. We already have November and I have the feeling I didn't do anything this year. Didn't we just have January? Ok, this year is some kind of crazy - complete lockdown and all plans were thwarted. Ok, not all but this year we had to improvise a lot.

But I don't want to talk about what I didn't get this year, I just want to show you my new shirt. I got this great fabric and fell in love with it immediately. I had to get it - my colors, you know...

Ich persönlich gehöre ja zu der Fraktion "ich mag keine Oberteile mit großem Aufdruck". Darum habe ich ja inzwischen auch viele Teile im Schrank, die eben genau so etwas haben. - So ändern sich die Geschmäcker und Vorlieben über die Zeit.

Maybe you remember me saying once that I don't like shirts with big prints on it - I guess I can make exceptions every now and then. :) Like I made with this fabric.

Dieses Paneel von Swafing war Liebe auf den ersten Blick, als ich es auf dem Stoffmarkt gesehen habe und es war sofort klar, das muss Frau haben.

Ich hatte recht schnell eine Vorstellung davon was ich daraus machen werde. Ein Shirt mit langem Arm und U-Boot Ausschnitt. Und da kam mir dann auch gleich der Schnitt von Pattydoo in den Sinn. 

Da ich aber nur die Version mit 3/4 Ärmel besitze habe ich dann mal kurz die Ärmel selber verlängert.

I knew exactly what I wanted to make out of it and I love that it turned out just the way I imagined it. 

Ich bin total happy mit dem neuen Shirt und bin schon am überlegen, ob ich mir nicht noch einmal eine Version gönne soll, dann vielleicht in rot und mit kurzen Arm.

Schweinefilet an Calvados Äpfeln oder Improvisation ist alles / pork filet with Calvados apples

Das ich gerne koche und noch lieber esse ist ja gemeinhin bekannt. Hin und wieder versuche ich mich auch mal an neuen Rezepten und experimentiere, schließlich soll es ja nicht langweilig werden.

Um neue Rezepte zu finden, blättere ich gerne mal in meinen Kochzeitschriften herum. Dort finde ich jedes Mal etwas Neues und etwas was ich noch nicht ausprobiert habe.

Letztes Wochenende blätterte ich durch einige ältere Ausgaben von LUST AUF GENUSS und stieß auf ein Rezept mit Schweinefilet und Calvados Äpfeln. Hörte sich lecker und nicht allzu kompliziert an.

Guter Dinge habe ich eine Einkaufliste geschrieben und bin zum einkaufen gefahren - ok, die meisten Zutaten stellten kein Problem dar, aber wo zum Henker finde ich denn den Calvados in unserem gut sortierten Supermarkt? Und wo um alles in der Welt steht denn der Cidre?

Nun, leicht frustriert, weil ich weder das eine noch das andere gefunden hatte, machte ich mich auf den Weg zur Kasse und siehe da, dort stand der Calvados und schaute ganz unschuldig...

It is generally known that I like to cook and eat even better. Every now and then I try new recipes and experiment, after all it shouldn't get boring.

To find new recipes, I like to leaf through my cooking magazines. There I always find something new and something I haven't tried yet.

Last weekend I flipped through some older issues of LUST AUF GENUSS and found a recipe with pork filet and Calvados apples. Sounded delicious and not too complicated.

Good things I wrote a shopping list and went shopping - ok, most of the ingredients were no problem, but where the heck can I find Calvados in our well-assorted supermarket? And where on earth is the cidre? 

Well, a little frustrated because I hadn't found either one or the other, I went to the checkout and there it was, the Calvados standing there, looking quite innocent...

Nun, der gute Weinhandel um die Ecke hat doch sicher einen Cidre im Angebot - also auf dort hin, um zu erfahren, dass sie keinen Cidre haben. - wie soll ich denn nun mein Fleisch marinieren? Eine Alternative musste her. Ich weiß, jeder Cidre Liebhaber und jeder Franzose wird nun entsetzt die Hände über dem Kopf zusammenschlagen, aber Not macht erfinderisch und der nette Herr im Weinhandel hatte die passende Idee - baue deinen Cidre selber!! Mit Apfelmost und Apfelschorle - sprudelt schön und ist die beste Alternative.

Gesagt, getan und ich muss sagen, es hat wunderbar funktioniert und noch besser geschmeckt.

Well, the good wine shop around the corner has a cidre on offer - so go there to find out that they don't have any cidre. - how should I marinate my meat? An alternative was needed. I know that every cidre lover and every Frenchman will now clench their hands in horror, but necessity is the mother of invention and the nice man in the wine trade had the right idea - build your own cidre! With cider and apple spritzer - bubbles beautifully and is the best alternative.

No sooner said than done and I must say it worked wonderfully and tasted even better.

Das Rezept hat es auf unsere - musst du wieder einmal machen Liste geschafft und das will etwas heißen. :)

We already put this meal on our DO IT AGAIN list. It was very, very yummy. :)
